Tuktoyaktuk to the USA border.

The Arctic wind carried the first whisper of summer as we stood on the shores of the Arctic Ocean in Tuktoyaktuk. It was hard to believe this was the moment we had been working towards for the past two years.

Our journey through Canada and Alaska had taken us across spectacular  landscapes. We driven thousands of kilometres through every season imaginable—battling fierce winter storms, navigating frozen highways, welcoming the first signs of spring, and experiencing the surreal beauty of the endless 24-hour daylight of the Arctic summer.

Along the way, we faced more than a few unexpected challenges. We found ourselves stranded by the weather, navigated difficult roads, and even experienced the surreal moment of being evacuated in the middle of the night as a tornado swept through the area. Those experiences tested us, but they also became part of the adventure, and made the journey all the more memorable.

There had been moments that took our breath away, encounters we will never forget, and countless reminders of why we chose this life of overland travel.

Standing at the northern edge of the continent, we knew this wasn’t the end of the adventure—it was simply the end of one incredible chapter.

Now it was time to point our motorhome south and begin the long journey back to the USA border.
