Today February 2025 it is 21 years since (January 2004) we started our around-the-world adventure, and what an experience it has been. Not everything has gone smoothly; we’ve faced our share of difficulties. But, as the cliché goes, when you taste the bitter, the sweet is oh so much sweeter! Being an overlander is challenging work, but the greatest reward is the once-in-a-lifetime experiences we encounter every day. We love driving our overland truck through distant continents for months on end, discovering new countries and cultures. Along the way, we’ve seen so much and made countless friends. around the world. But when we look at the world map, we realize how much more there is to see.

2020 was a challenging year due to COVID-19, but despite the circumstances, we were lucky enough to continue traveling in 2020 and 2021, exploring Central America and Mexico.

2020 was a challenging year due to COVID-19, but despite the circumstances, we were lucky enough to continue traveling in 2020 and 2021, exploring Central America and Mexico. In April 2021, we returned home to Australia to build our new house. We resumed our journey in July 2022, continuing to explore Central America and Mexico. By March 2023, we had explored the northern part of Mexico and the western USA. We returned home in November 2023. In March 2024, we explored the central and southern USA, including Route 66, and returned home in October 2024.

Our plan for March 2025 is to explore the East Coast of the USA and Canada.
